Sunflower Update 2025
**Since the field has to rotate crops, we will not have a full field of sunflowers for the 2025 season.

August 10th - Our 6 rows of sunflowers are blooming! They are much shorter than they should be but we are happy to see some flowers out there! So stop by and take some pictures! AND come in the store and get some ice cream too! Remember, the bloom only lasts for approximately 2 weeks!

***We did plant 18 rows of a variety of sunflowers in June, however, due to the extreme lack of rain, only 6 rows actually came up. THEY ARE NOT FLOWERING AS OF AUGUST 4TH. We do not know if and or when they may flower.

Frequently Asked Questions about the sunflowers:
When do they bloom? Normally sunflowers will bloom anytime between mid-July and mid-August. We can never be certain - so please don't ask us to pin down a date. It all depends on Mother Nature - sun, rain, warm temps/cold temps - all out of our hands. *** We have had very little rain, so the sunflowers have not come up as planned for 2025.
How long does the bloom last for? The blooms look amazing for 2 weeks and then start to fade - although they still look good. As the plant matures and starts making the seeds, the yellow flower starts to droop and die off. This is the natural progression for a sunflower.
